The Packers returned to the practice field on an unseasonably cool, overcast Saturday morning for day 2 of training camp.

Of note on the offensive side of the ball, James Starks received the first reps at running back.  Alex Green had the #1 reps on Friday.  Starks told reporters after practice his #1 goal this season is to stay healthy.  When healthy, Starks has shown the ability to be an every down back.  He hasn't yet shaken the injury bug, however.

Speaking of injury bugs, rookie wide receivers Charles Johnson and Kevin Dorsey were non-participants in the OTAs, and both left practice today.  Johnson was down on the field for a bit before walking off on his own power.  He told reporters in the locker room he'll have an MRI on his knee.

Sunday the team returns to Ray Nitschke Field at 8:20 a.m. for the much-anticipated first padded workout of camp.  Coaches and players alike were looking forward to getting some hitting in.  We'll have continued coverage throughout camp here on wearegreenbay.com/training camp and on Local 5 News.
