(WFRV-TV) - The NFL awarded the Green Bay Packers two compensatory picks for the upcoming NFL Draft in May.

The Packers receive an additional selection in the third round (No. 98 overall) and one in the fifth (No. 176) for losing free agents Greg Jennings and Erik Walden this past offseason.

The formula for receiving compensatory draft picks is not revealed by the league but according to the NFL:

"Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks. The number of picks a team receives equals the net loss of compensatory free agents up to a maximum of four."

The contracts, playing time and productivity for the players lost by the team are also factored in.

Below are the Packers picks for the NFL Draft May 8-10.

R1: 21
R2: 53

R3: 98(comp)
R4: 121
R5: 161
R5: 176(comp)
R6: 197
