Here is some of what Head Coach Mike McCarthy and players had to say about Wednesday's practice:
Mike McCarthy: "It was a practice that we needed. There's some challenges that needed to be met. We probably had too much extra curricular activity, but it was a physical practice."
RG T.J. Lang: "It all goes back to finishing. Defensive guys are trying to finish to go hit the ball carrier. We're trying to finish our blocks. There's going to be sparks that fly, emotions that kind of get out of hand at times, but at the end of the day I think that everyone realizes we're in this thing together as one."
LG Josh Sitton: "I want to say a few years ago we did not have a single fight for a while it was very odd. But yeah, it's bound to happen and it happens every year... Throwing punches is not smart. "That's pretty stupid and I might have been stupid today."
"It's all about protecting your guys. If I see someone finishing too hard on a running back, then I'm going to go talk to that guy and make sure it doesn't happen. If your guys see you protecting your teammates, they're going to feel that much closer to you and that bond is going to build even more."
Jordy Nelson: "There is a method to the madness. If anyone was shocked that there was a scrum/fight out there today that was in our meeting, they were not paying attention to our meeting. We knew it was going to happen. They juiced us up in the meeting room so it was no surprise."
