The Packers are generally quiet during free agency, but Green Bay made a huge splash in March signing big name talent Julius Peppers.

“He's 34 and runs like he's 18. If ever there was a genetic freak put on this planet, it is Julius. He's just a specimen. I have a ton of respect for how he works too,” says A.J. Hawk.

“Just the way he moves, I mean he looks awesome in 56. I was a little bit worried about finding a shirt to fit him but we worked that out.. but he looks very natural at the outside linebacker position,” Mike McCarthy weighed in.

Peppers has spent the majority of his career at defensive end, but if anyone can make the transition to OLB its him, he's as athletically-talented as they come.

“They're not asking me to do very much different except for drop back a little bit but other than that it’s pretty much almost the same as playing defensive end,” says Peppers.

Obviously Peppers is familiar with Titletown, but it’s been suiting up for the opposition. Once the Bears decided to let Peppers walk, the idea of lining up opposite Clay Matthews was too good to pass up.

“A really dominant player on the other side, I really haven't had that ever so I'm excited to get out there with him and see what we can do,” Peppers explains.

“Obviously he's been a fixture around this league, a playmaker in this league for quite some time now so it will be good playing on the same side as him. And having him garner some attention as well as well as myself present some difficulties for the offense to not only block the two of us but other guys who have stepped up,” says Clay Matthews.

Most of the Packers' offensive players are just excited they'll no longer have to face Peppers twice a year..

“It's better to see him hitting other people versus hitting me yeah...It's a lot better this way,” says Eddie Lacy.

“It's fun to not have him chasing me around. I think when he totally understands the leadership opportunity he has on this football team the defense has an opportunity to do some pretty amazing things,” Aaron Rodgers comments.
