Stanton's homer lifts Marlins over Brewers

A Giancarlo Stanton 2-run homer in the 8th inning Tuesday night ended the Brewers' four-game win streak.

Stanton's blast off Jim Henderson lifted the Miami Marlins to a 5-4 victory over the Brewers in south Florida.

Milwaukee (26-38) had battled back from an early 3-0 deficit to take a 4-3 lead in the seventh, when Scooter Gennett brought home Yuniesky Betancourt with a squeeze bunt.

Wily Peralta started for Milwaukee, going six innings.  He allowed three runs in the second before settling down.

Henderson, who had been the Brewers closer before a stint on the disabled list, came on in a setup role in the 8th, allowing a hit and striking out a pair before Stanton took the first pitch he saw over the wall in left-center.

The Brewers and Marlins will conclude their three-game series on Wednesday night.
