Brewers GM: Corey Hart may be out until after All-Star Break

On his weekly radio segment Thursday morning, Brewers GM Doug Melvin gave an update on the timetable of Corey Hart's possible return.
On his weekly radio segment Thursday morning, Brewers GM Doug Melvin gave an update on the timetable of Corey Hart's possible return, and it's later than the team had originally hoped.

Hart had knee surgery in January.  The hope then was that he could be back in May.  At the start of the season, the Brewers placed Hart on the 60-day disabled list, meaning he couldn't come back until June 1st.

The first baseman's recovery, however, appears to be slower than he and the team would like.  Hart will need to play several minor-league rehab games once cleared from his injury, prior to a return to the Brewers.
