Black Creek, Wis.(WFRV)- State Highway 54 in Outagamie County was closed for about five hours Sunday afternoon and evening after a three-vehicle crash.
It happened near the town of Black Creek around 3:30 p.m. at Trap road. Traffic from the East and West had to be diverted and all lanes blocked off for about two miles.
According to the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department, one person was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be flown by Theda Star to a hospital.
Authorities say, a vehicle was about to make a left turn lane when another vehicle following them failed to stop and swerved. It hit the first vehicle and spun into oncoming traffic where it hit a van head-on.
The severity of the injuries is unknown at this time. Authorities say they don't believe speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash. The highway was re-opened around 8:30 p.m.
