Appleton Police develop mobile app

Appleton Police have developed a mobile app to help them connect with the community.

Appleton, Wis.(WFRV)- The Appleton Police Department has developed a new mobile app to connect them with the community. It allows residents to report a crime, check out unsolved cases and even send in commendations for department members. Appleton is the first agency in Wisconsin to utilize a smart phone application.

"It's going to give us another avenue to communicate with the public." says Sergeant David Lund.

The app is free and available to download through i-tunes for Apple users and at Google Play for those with an android product.
