Labor Day Forecast 9/1/2014

From Storm Team 5...

From Storm Team 5 Chief Meteorologist Luke Sampe...

We hope you are having a great Labor Day holiday weekend with family and friends.

The weather has offered breaks in the showers and t-storms for plenty of outdoor grilling and campfires but Labor Day will bring in our next round of showers and storms.

Monday morning into mid afternoon will bring the highest chance for a shower or storm to come rumbling through your neighborhood or campsite.

Some of the storms will likely pack some heavy downpours -- also some gusty winds and hail are also possible with the strongest storms.

Areas south and east of the Fox Valley will see the greatest threat for some strong storms.

Tuesday is back to school for many kids in the area -- and it looks nice and dry with highs in the mid/upper 70s.

Have a great and safe rest to your holiday weekend.
