The New York Giants defeated the Atlanta Falcons 24-2 on Sunday afternoon, earning them a spot in the NFC Divisional Playoffs against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field next Sunday.

Kickoff for the Packers and Giants will be at 3:30 P. M.  It will be the first playoff game at Lambeau Field since the Packers played the Giants in the NFC Championship Game on Janurary 20, 2008.  Of course that contest had a painful outcome for Packers fans, as New York won 23-20 in overtime to advance to Super Bowl 42, where they defeated the New England Patriots.

The Packers and Giants met on December 4th in East Rutherford, New Jersey.  Green Bay won that contest 38-35, when Mason Crosby made a field goal as time expired.  The two teams last met in Green Bay on December 26, 2010, a game which ended in a 45-17 win for the Packers.

Channel 5 will have coverage all week leading up to the playoff contest, and a special post-game edition of Sports Xtra with Burke Griffin and Larry McCarren at 10:35 next Sunday night.
