Lawmakers suspend rules for concealed carry law

<br>A joint committee of lawmakers has voted to suspend the training rules for the state's new concealed carry law.

MADISON (WFRV) A joint committee of state lawmakers voted Monday to suspend training requirements for the state's new concealed carry law.

The republican-controlled committee voted to do away with the four hours of training required to apply for a concealed carry permit.

The four hour training rule was established by Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen who wrote all of the rules pertaining to the law that took effect last week.

Without the training rule in place the Department of Justice will have no way of determining whether applicants have conducted any training courses.
