"I like all the pictures on the wall," commented shopper Dick Glander. "It brings back memories of when I was in high school in the Lombardi era."
"I was actually kind of overwhelmed," said shopper Shae Moderow. "I didn't know where to go."
After a ceremonial start ribbon cutting by Mark Murphy, Packers President & CEO, the store opened its door to customers.
"More exciting is to just to see their reactions to the space and the iconic elements and the merchandise offering and everything we got going on," explained Kate Hogan, Packer Director of Retail Operations. "So it's great for our fans and customers."
The pro shop is now located in the newly created lobby level on the ground floor of Lambeau Field. Inside shoppers are greeted by a special LED hat display and a giant Packers helmet suspended from the ceiling. At more than 21,000 square feet, it's more than double the size of the old store.
"We wanted to make sure that Packers fans, which is a big demographic, we wanted to make sure we are able to serve that demographic," said Hogan. "We're the team. If they want something, we hope to have their price point or their style or their fashion. Whatever it is."
Shae Moderow had no problems picking out some new gear.
"I'm just looking for myself because I don't have a lot of Packers stuff and also maybe get some stuff for my family too," she said, while showing off some of her purchases.
The new store is part of the $166 million stadium renovation project.
