Reporting landlord/tenant violations

Green Bay city leaders say a relatively new ordinance aimed at making it easier to prosecute bad landlords is working.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Green Bay city leaders say a relatively new ordinance aimed at making it easier to prosecute bad landlords is working.

The "Residential Rental Practices Ordinance" went into effect at the beginning of last year. It gives the city the ability to enforce landlord-tenant violations directly in municipal court. They previously had to be dealt with at the state level.

The city's residential housing investigator says its first case went through the system and is now closed.
