"I think sometimes people get so wound up in their jobs and their families and they need some time to just take a break and relax" says Nicole Brayton, who owns the inn with her husband Scott.
While the home features modern amenities, the rich history tells a unique tale.
Now , five rooms sleep up to 15 people.
Families often rent the entire home for weddings or reunions.
One of the suites even offers a laundry room for extended stays.
"Every room has a private bath" Brayton explains. "Each is decorated differently. One is more feminine than the rest, one that is very dark greens and browns, almost like a library feel. One room that is reds, and browns, very romantic".
We can't forget about the other important b - breakfast.
"We always tell people we do not let you walk away hungry, we serve a full breakfast. One of the differences with us is we give you two choices every single morning. You always get an egg choice like a quiche or a baked omelet and then we do a sweet choice like a stuffed French toast or baked oatmeal" she says.
The innkeepers also offer desserts at night and a wine and cheese social on the weekends.
Meeting your fellow guests is part of the charm at a B&B.
