Road Trip: Woodland Dunes

Woodland Dunes Nature Center & Preserve encompasses 1300 acres, and 7 miles of trails, offering families a great nature fix.
MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - Today's Road Trip take us to Manitowoc county to shake off a little of the winter cabin fever.

Woodland Dunes is a 1300 acre preserve with 7 miles of trails.

You can rent snowshoes for $5 or bring your own. Skis are also welcome on the trials.

Woodland Dunes has a nature center to explore indoors and they also have adventure backpacks loaded with things like nature bingo to keep the kids busy on your hike.

There is no cost to use the trails.

After your winter hike if you're looking for a place to warm up, the Culture Cafe isn't far away.

The owner converted and old hotel into the eclectic cafe.

He prides himself on organic coffee and locally grown produce year round.
