Dairy Show Judge

One of the prime goals of the junior dairy project is to make it a positive learning expereince. And an individual who plays a big role in accomplishing that goal is the dairy show judge.
While the color of the ribbon certainly can help to enhance the state fair experience, there is so much more involved. Through the dairy project, the young exhibitors learn many life skills and also form some great relationships and friends. The project is also a great learning experience and the person who plays a big role in that is the dairy show judge. At this years Wisconsin State Fair Local 5 Ag Reporter Mike Austin spent some time with a dairy judge to find out why he judges, and what he tries to share with the young exhibitors during their time in the show ring
