Eagle Days to start Saturday in Kaukauna

We might be in the middle of a frigid cold snap, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great time to do some eagle watching.
KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) - We might be in the middle of a frigid cold snap, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great time to do some eagle watching.

And Saturday, you can do just that at Eagle Days, at 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna.

The nature center will celebrate the nation's symbolic animal with historical trivia, interactive activities, and chances to scout the eagles in person.

"Winter is an extra exciting time to come out and see them because the eagles, a lot of them, will migrate to the Fox Valley for the wintertime because they can find open water, which means they can find fish, their primary food source," says Debbie Nowak, a naturalist with 1000 Islands Environmental Center. "It's a great time to come down and see the eagles."

Eagle Days starts this Saturday, January 25, at 7 AM.
