UPDATE: Fatal Accident on Highway 29 in Brown County

Fatal traffic accident early Sunday on Highway 29 in Brown County.
(WFRV) - Police have identified the man killed over the weekend when a Pontiac headed west bound crossed the median on highway 29 and struck a car head on.

Shane J. Lambert, a 22 year old Green Bay man, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a passenger in the Pontiac.

A portion of Highway 29 in Brown County was closed Sunday morning due to a fatal traffic accident.
Hobart-Lawrence Police responded to a call around 5:00am of a two car accident on 29 east bound, a mile west of County Highway J in the hills.

According to the report, a west bound Pontiac with two males in the car, crossed the median ditch and struck another vehicle head on.

The driver of the Pontiac, Derek N. Samuelson of County Road C, Sobieski, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The east bound vehicle's driver, Brandon D. Krueger, 35, was also transported to a local hospital and sustained minor injuries.
Police said that speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the fatal crash.
