Game day breast cancer awareness

Plenty of Pink was visible at Sundays Packers game
Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)- October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Green Bay and the Fox Cities joined that fight this weekend.

At Sundays Packers game, the American Cancer Society hosted a booth near the Oneida Gate at Lambeau Field. Fans could purchase pink ribbons in honor or in memory of someone who has been touched by breast cancer. The ribbons are then displayed on a fence that will be placed in the Lambeau Field Atrium during the entire month of October.

The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Cancer walk is on Saturday, October 12. The 3-5 mile walk kicks off at Memorial Park in Neenah and raised money to go towards breast cancer research and raising awareness.

The Packers also wore select pink gear during Sundays game against the Detroit Lions.
