Appleton Police getting closer to solving hit and run

Appleton Police have had several people step forward with information since a cash reward was offered.
Appleton, Wis.(WFRV)- A reward offered by Lawrence University may have sparked new interest in a hit and run case that left one of their students seriously injured.

The university announced yesterday it was offering a $2,500 dollar reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the female suspect. Since that announcement, Appleton Police say they've received three separate tips and they hope to be getting closer to a break in the case.

"To get three in a short period of time tells me pretty much that those releases that went out yesterday probably spurred some people to action to give a call." said Sergeant Dave Lund of the Appleton Police department.

Police believe the car that hit the student was a grey or silver Chevrolet Impala
