Mason Street Bridge is open again

Police have re-opened the bridge to all traffic.
Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)- The Mason Street Bridge has been re-opened after being closed for several hours.

At around 5:15 p.m. the bridge was raised for a boat to pass under it, but it was unable to completely come down. According to the Wisconsin DOT, the problem appears to be a mechanical issue.. According to a Local 5 crew, authorities tried several times to open the bridge but could not. After several hours, Green Bay Police had to route traffic off the bridge and then placed barricades on the entrance ramps.

The bridge re-opened around 7:15 p.m.
