GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) The Cellcom Green Bay Marathon may still be months away but runners have already started to train.  Saturday was the first training run in a 19 week series leading up to the marathon in May.

The event began at the food court of Bay Park Square Mall.  The race director says it's never too early to start training for long distance running.  Training will be held every Saturday morning at the mall through February.  Then it moves to West De Pere High School starting in March.

Festivities for the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon begin May 19th.  Channel Five is a proud sponsor.
