Resurgent Weeks leads Brewers past Cubs

Rickie Weeks slammed a pair of homers on Tuesday night as Milwaukee defeated Chicago 9-3.
After a slow start to the 2013 season, Rickie Weeks appears to have returned to form.

The Brewers second baseman, who at one point lost his everyday 2nd base job, is hitting over .400 in the month of June, and slammed two homers on Tuesday night to lead Milwaukee to a 9-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park.

Juan Francisco added a solo homer for the Brewers, who improved to 32-43 on the season.

Kyle Lohse went seven innings to pick up the win on the mound.

Following the contest, Milwaukee placed pitcher Alfredo Figaro on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right oblique.  Johnny Hellweg was called up from Triple-A Nashville to take his roster spot.  Hellweg, acquired in the Zack Greinke trade from the Angles last July, is 7-4 with a 2.82 ERA in 14 starts with Nashville this season.  He will likely start for the Brewers on Friday.
