The Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign officially got underway.
Nearly 1,100 volunteers are needed to fill 1,600 hours of bell ringing at 50 kettle locations. Donations collected go straight back into the community.
The Salvation Army will have their red kettles out at several area grocery stores.
Something new this year: if you don't have cash, but would like to donate, you can make a contribution at the cash resister, then take a voucher and drop that into the red kettle.
