Wet Whistle Wine Festival

The 12th annual Wet Whistle Wine Festival is taking part this weekend in Algoma.
ALGOMA, Wis. (WFRV) - The 12th annual Wet Whistle Wine Festival is taking part this weekend in Algoma at Legion Memorial Park.

The event kicks off on Friday at 4:00 p.m. with live music by the Cougars, a fine arts show and specialty foods.

Then, on Saturday, the fun begins at 9:00 a.m. with wine tasting and tours at von Stiehl Winery.

There will also be a fine arts show, specialty foods, live music by the Annie Rose Band and the Groove Hogs at Legion Memorial Park.

The grape stomping starts at 11:00 a.m. with local celebrity stompers, including: Kris Schuller, Chelly Boutott, Millaine Wells and Tara Joyce.

The public is invited to try their best at grape stomping following the celebrity heat.
