On Friday, November 22, our nation will mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John Kennedy in Dallas. After his death in 1963, our country was left in a state of shock. However, some things still went on, though not everyone agreed. Specifically NFL games, played just two days after JFK was murdered.
At age 43, John Kennedy, was the youngest person, ever elected president. Several times, while campaigning for the highest office in the land, this vibrant politician stopped in the Green Bay area.
Over the next two nights, we're going to share with you - memories of our nation's 35th president. As told by a number of local people, who campaigned for and alongside Kennedy, in our area in 1960.
