Air Force Vet Ginny Russell Proudly Served as a Drill Instructor

Hometown Heroes

An administrative specialist, and later a drill instructor – Air Force veteran Ginny Russell was responsible for a lot during her service. Local 5’s Nate Stewart caught up with Ginny, who’s also currently the Commander for all-women’s American Legion Post 539 in Green Bay, to hear about what it was like to be in charge of up to 60 men at once before they took to the skies.
