Marine Galen Sherbon Loves the Camaraderie with Fellow Veterans

He served two tours in Iraq, owns a business, and is a leader for the local VFW

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Marine veteran Galen Sherbon wanted to join the military after the 9/11 attacks, and enlisted after he graduated high school in 2004. His family has a strong military background as well. His grandfather served in WWII, his dad and uncle served in Vietnam, and his cousin was in Desert Storm - all of them were Marines.

Galen followed in their footsteps and was assigned as a driver once he joined the service. He'd spend one tour overseas in Japan and the surrounding areas, and then two tours in Iraq. After four years of service, he got out of the Marines and wanted to transfer into civilian life.

That's when he went to business school and started up his own company, Another Way Entertainment. A bus company that specializes in beer and wine tours, and other events. He urges the public to cut down on drinking and driving, and says that's part of the reason why he started the company.

He's also the senior vice commander for the VFW Post 2037 Noble-Straubel, where he helps out other veterans who need help getting back on their feet.
