Hometown Hero: John Baenen

Hometown Heroes

GREEN BAY, WI (WFRV) This week’s “Hometown Hero” is an ex-soldier among a few thousand fighting for government recognition. John Baenen is one of the many service men dispatched to the Marshall Islands to clean-up debris from atomic weapons tests. Baenen is also fighting for federal benefits to treat radiation illnesses. Local Five’s Terry Kovarik has the story.
