Rose Skenandore Kerstetter Served in the Army During WWII

Hometown Heroes

Rose Skenandore Kerstetter was a proud member of the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corp when she enlisted during WWII. She served as a typist at Camp Hood in Texas.

She recently just celebrated her 100th birthday, and said it was her best one ever!

Local 5’s Nate Stewart also found out that Rose has never been to a Packers game at Lambeau Field. With it being their 100th season, the 4th HOOAH Wisconsin chapter found her some tickets and got her to her first game this past Sunday.

We will have a follow up story on Rose’s experience at Lambeau later this week.
