Sweet and Spicy Breakfast Sandwich
1/4 cup butter, softened 2 tsp. hot sauce
2 tsp. pure maple syrup
4 bagel thins, sliced in half
8 fully cooked turkey sausage patties, warmed 4 slices white cheddar
4 oz. baby spinach 4 eggs, cooked as desired
• Heat oven to 350°F.
• Combine butter, hot sauce and maple syrup in bowl; mix well. Set aside
• Place bagels onto baking sheet, cut side up. Bake 5 minutes or until lightly toasted.
• Spread cut sides of each bagel half with butter mixture. Top bottom half of bagels with cooked sausage patty, egg, cheese slice and spinach. Bake 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with top half of bagel, cut-side down.
Carrot Cake Breakfast Sandwich
2 slices sprouted grain honey wheat w/ raisins 2 Tbsp. reduced fat cream cheese
1/2 cup shredded carrot 2 Tbsp. raisins
1 Tbsp. chopped walnuts 2 tsp. pure maple syrup
Toast bread. Spread cream cheese on one slice. Top with carrot, raisins and walnuts. Drizzle with maple syrup. Top with remaining bread slice.
1 egg Salt & Pepper, to taste
1 whole grain English muffin, toasted 2 Tbsp. refried beans
2 Tbsp. guacamole 1 Tbsp. salsa
1 strip bacon, halved
Fry the egg as desired. Spread refried beans on one half of English muffin. Spread guacamole on other half. Place egg on top of refried beans. Top with bacon and salsa and other half of English muffin.
