It’s the news Packers fans have waited nearly two months to hear, Aaron Rodgers has been medically cleared to return.

The Green Bay quarterback made the announcement on his Instagram page Tuesday night.

The day Rodgers had a bone scan and tests done on his surgically repair collarbone. Head coach Mike McCarthy said the results were in the hands of team doctor Pat McKenzie, who was also consulting with other medical experts.

Rodgers remains on injured reserve at this time, and the Packers need to make a roster move to clear space for their quarterback to return in time for Sunday’s game against Carolina.
