Aurora BayCare ready for 10th annual triathlon

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Feel like taking on a challenge?

Coming up at the end of the month is the 10th Annual Aurora BayCare Triathlon.

These folks have been training to take on the biking, swimming and running challenge.

There is also a 5k for those not up to such a hard task.

If you might want to take a stab at next year’s triathlon, it’s recommended to train two to three times a week.

“Typically, for newbies, and people who are trying their first triathalon, they will train for, approximately, a good 12 weeks to get themselves ready,” said Junius Ho, a certified personal trainer at the Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Center. “There are a lot of little things involved.”

The event takes place at Ashwaubemay Park.

The kids triathlon is Saturday, May 30th, with the 5k and adult triathlon on Sunday, May 31st.

You can register for either race here.
