GREEN BAY, Wis (WFRV) The Green Bay Packers will take on the Chicago Bears the night of Thanksgiving at Lambeau Field. According to ESPN – at that game the Packers will unveil Brett Favre’s No.4 inside the stadium. Kris Schuller reports – that fans call it the perfect setting to honor No. 4.
Inside the Lambeau Field Atrium, the Phoenix/Packers steak fry. Yet on a night dedicated to college athletics there is a definite buzz here.
“Does it get any better? It doesn’t – it doesn’t,” said one Packers fan.

“Wow, that’s going to be the game of all games,” said fan Tim Olson.
“I’m so excited – I love it, I can’t wait,” said Tammy Boundry.
ESPN is reporting that when the two teams meet for a Thursday night game on Thanksgiving at Lambeau – the Packers will unveil Favre’s No.4 inside the stadium, in a ceremony honoring his 16 years with the team. Fans who heard the news Tuesday repeated over and over again – it’s time.
“It’s about time – happy they’ve worked things out – needed to be done,” said Jim Hinckley
“He put his heart and soul into it while he was here – he was a true Packer,” said Moira Kraft.
The move was expected – after the Packers announced last summer plans to induct Favre into the team’s Hall of Fame. That is scheduled for July 18.
“He deserves the Packers and and he deserves all the fans,” said Olson.
And now come November it seems certain – Favre’s number will join other Packers legends – like Starr, Nitschke and White. As the team honors Favre in a fashion, fans say he has earned.
“Favre is one of the best in the NFL – he deserves to be enshrined here.” said Rick Nuetzel.
The Packers will officially retire Favre’s number when he’s inducted into the teams Hall of Fame July 18.
