MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) – The “Hands Over the Fox” event that was set to happen on Sunday at the Trestle Trail Bridge in Menasha has been rescheduled because of weather concerns.

The event will now take place on May 31st.

A post on the event’s Facebook page announced the change of plans Sunday, saying:

This has been a very hard decision to make, but thunderstorms are rolling in and we have to prioritize the safety of everyone participating. While the weather prediction might  seem promising around 7 p.m., we had to consider those who are involved in the set-up taking place (sound, speakers, signage) before the event.

The event was organized as a way to bring the community together after the tragic shooting that took place on the Trestle Trail Bridge in Menasha, two weeks ago.

You can keep checking Local 5’s website for updates on the rescheduled event, as well as the “Hands Over the Fox” website.
