Health Officials Say Undetermined Illness Unlikely to be Measles

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WFRV) – Portage County health officials have announced it doesn’t look like a person who they suspected of having measles actually has the disease.

They say the person had not traveled to a country or state with active measles, and they are not showing signs or symptoms of the disease.

They also say if the case does turn out to be measles, they inform health experts in local communities.

Portage County officials say there is no confirmed cases of measles in the county.
