DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – Memorial Day Weekend serves as an unofficial start to camping season for many.

Whether in a tent, a pop-up or an RV, campers were out in force this weekend at Apple Creek Campground in De Pere.

Campground manager Pam Packee said her favorite thing is having families come back year after year.

“I like seeing kids that are three years old, and then the next thing you know they’ll be 10 and 12 years old, so it’s just amazing watching them grow up,” Packee said.

If you plan on camping this year, make sure to book your reservations well in advance as spots go quickly.
