OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - The Queen thanks you very much for the message you sent for Christmas.
These are the words Anne Peralta of Oshkosh was greeted with after receiving a letter from Buckingham Palace.
"It had been months and months since I sent the card and I didn't know what it was," says Peralta.
In December, Peralta sent a Christmas card to Queen Elizabeth. She says she decided to send it because of a background of royal names in the family.
"I'm Anne, like Queen Anne."
The card Peralta sent included a generic line: "Wishing you a blessed holiday season." Peralta added, "God Bless the Queen" to make it more personable.
Will she send another one next year?
"No, I don't think so," says Anne, explaining this was precious enough.
For now, the letter is being stored in Peralta's memory book, which includes memories from trips with her late husband.
