19 Y/O Arrested on Preliminary Charges of Attempted Homicide of 73 Y/O

Sun Prairie Police have arrested a 19-year-old after an incident that has left a 73-year-old in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Around 2:00 p.m. on January 15th, Fond du Lac Police were called to Evergreen Village Apartments for a report of a possible assault and stolen vehicle.

When officers arrived they say they found a 73-year-old-man with severe injuries to his head and hand as a result of blunt force trauma. 

Police say the victim was transported to the Flight for Life Hangar at the Fond du Lac County Airport where he was taken to the Theda Care Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. 

Authorities believe the victim knew the 19-year-old suspect, who was found in a stolen vehicle a few hours later by the Sun Prairie Police Department.

The suspect is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on preliminary charges of Attempted Homicide and Operating a Motor Vehicle without the Owner’s Consent.
