2018 kicks off in Menasha with First Eve

Local News

For 25 years, the town of Menasha has held their First Eve celebration on New Year’s Eve, and even with temperatures below zero, plenty of people were out at Curtis Reed Square to ring in 2018.  First Eve featured Northeast Wisconsin’s only ball drop, live music, and plenty of fireworks.

The event was broadcast live on Local 5, and hosted by Local 5 This Morning anchors Brittany Falkers and Nate Stewart.  The show’s guests included Miss Wisconsin McKenna Collins, Mrs. Wisconsin Autum Kastein, Menasha Mayor Don Merkes, and First Eve founder and organizer James Taylor.

Overall, there was an air of excitement, refreshment, and optimism that comes with the arrival of a new year.
