5th graders at Leonardo da Vinci School for Gifted Learners help organize annual Pi Day 5K

It’s not everyday you hear about 5th graders taking the initiative to put together an event like a 5k, call organizations for donations, and then send the proceeds to a local nonprofit -but that’s exactly what they’re doing at the Leonardo da Vinci School for Gifted Learners for their 4th annual Pi Day 5K.

Allison Hockers and 5th grader Ellie Priyadarshane joined Brittany and Nate on Local 5 This Morning to talk more about what all the students are responsible for, and how the proceeds will benefit the Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity.
