The Appleton Police Department provided an update on its Facebook page about the incident in the 700 block of West Wisconsin Avenue. The scene is reportedly clear and authorities will give an update ‘soon’.

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – An active incident is taking place in Appleton the community should try to avoid the area.
In a release on the Appleton Police Department’s Facebook page, police say the incident is happening in the 700 block of West Wisconsin Avenue.
Roads in the immediate surrounding area are reportedly closed and that is impacting the normal traffic patterns.
Authorities say to plan accordingly for the morning commute and use alternative routes that avoid the affected area.
