An overnight hit and run crash turns into pursuit

Local News

An overnight hit and run crash turns into a pursuit Tuesday night.

This is according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the State Patrol. They say at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, a hit and run crash happened in Brown County on I-41 going southbound near County Highway S. A little time later, a Wisconsin State Trooper saw a vehicle driving at a high speed near Wrightstown Road in Outagamie County, and tried to stop it. The driver of the car drove faster and refused to stop. A few minutes after the pursuit ended, the vehicle crashed into the back of a Jeep that was going southbound near College Avenue.

It was later decided the hit and run crash that happened in Brown County was the same vehicle that was trying to be stopped by the Wisconsin State Trooper. The driver of the speedy vehicle was found to be suffering a medical condition and was later taken to a local hospital.

Officials say there were no injuries in either of the crashes.
