Appleton City Council Unanimously Votes to Move Library Forward

Local News

It was an exciting night at Appleton City Council on Wednesday after the Council unanimously voted to move the Appleton Library mixed use project forward.

The motion was to approve the mixed use development design drawn up by Commercial Horizons that would be built on the spot of the Soldier Square Parking ramp.

In the later parts of March the Finance Committee and the Library Board’s Building and Equipment Committee both voted to continue the nearly $30 million project moving.

The mixed use development would also include apartments or condos above the library, as well as possible underground parking and areas for retail.
