APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – William Hayes, the suspect charged for the Appleton shooting incident on July 17, was arrested and charged again for his involvement in a second shooting incident that took place on June 20.
Appleton Police Department announced Friday that an arrest has been made in the investigation into a shooting that took place in the 1100 block of W. Glendale Avenue on June 20. The suspect, 18-year-old William Hayes, was referred to the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office for charges of recklessly endangering safety and criminal damage to property.
Police report Hayes was previously arrested for charges that resulted from an investigation into a separate shooting that took place in the 900 block of W. Lawrence St. on July 17. Hayes remains in custody at the Outagamie County Jail on charges stemming from that incident.

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV)- The Appleton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle involved in a recent shooting.
On Sunday, June 20, around 4:40 p.m. Appleton Police officers responded to the W. Glendale Avenue and N. Summit Street area for reports of a possible drive-by shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found two residences in the 1100 block of W. Glendale Avenue that had been hit by gunfire. No injuries were reported.
Through witness interviews, investigators have located a video of a possible suspect vehicle. The Appleton Police Department has also provided a website that individuals can upload videos or photos that they may have of the suspected vehicle in the area of the shooting.
