Ashwaubenon Attic Fire Forces Two out of Home

Two people in Ashwaubenon are out of their home after their attic caught on fire Thursday night.

At 9:35 p.m., the Ashwaubenon Public safety and the Fox River fire district reported to a structure fire at 446 Oaklawn Avenue. The first Public Safety Officer on the scene found light smoke inside of the home and also found the home’s two residents were already evacuating.

Fire units located the fire in the attic unit and quickly extinguished it. It’s unknown at this time what caused the fire, but the damage of the home has been estimated at $15,000. In the meantime, the Red Cross will assist the two residents with temporary living arrangements.
