The Ashwaubenon School Board announced Thursday that Superintendent Dr. Brian Hanes will retire from the school district on June 30, 2018.

Hanes has served as Superintendent for the district for seven years.

Prior to working for Ashwaubenon Schools, Hanes was the Superintendent at Oostburg Schools for 14 years.

The Ashwaubenon School Board also announced that the job will be posted nationally and across the state from December 15 through January 19.

An online survey will also be available for community members, parents, and staff to provide input on the characteristics they are looking for in a superintendent.

According to the board, a committee of community members, parents, and staff will also be formed to take part in the interview process.
