Aviation enthusiasts fill the EAA grounds to learn about Skiplanes

Local News

Aviation enthusiasts packed the EAA grounds earlier today for one of the most colorful events of the season.

More than 25 Skiplanes filled the sky as part of the EAA Skiplane Fly-In.

Attendees got to enjoy a slideshow highlighting previous EAA Skiplane Fly-In activities, chili and cookies.

Also new this year, one lucky child had the opportunity to take part in the Young Eagles Flight in a Skiplane.

The child that wins will become part of more than two million young people who have been introduced to Aviation through the Young Eagles Program since 1992.
