Bay Industries staff evacuated following exhaust fire

Local News

Staff members at Bay Industries on Walker Drive were evacuated Tuesday morning following a small exhaust fire.

At 8:11 a.m., The Green Bay Metro Fire Department responded to reports of a fire in a heat exhaust for a  manufacturing oven that had extended into the roof of the facility. Crews found smoke and flames inside the warehouse and were able to quickly extinguish the flames. Nobody was injured from the fire.

Employees were cleared from the building due to air quality as fire crews cleared any remaining smoke. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The damage from the fire has been set at $2,000.
