Be the Light Walk on Saturday breaks stigma of suicide

The Be the Light Walk to prevent suicide is coming up Saturday, September 16.  It caps off Suicide Prevention week across the country with a candlelit walk through the streets of downtown Green Bay. 

Jeff Strommen with HopeNet 360 joined Local 5 This Morning’s Brittany Falkers and Nate Stewart as registration for the walk ends Wednesday at noon.  

This family-friendly event lights up the night to reduce stigma and prevent suicide. Learn more about organizations and agencies around Northeast Wisconsin who are actively working toward this goal in prevention, intervention, and postvention at the Resource Fair. Hear from renowned author and speaker, Dr. Thomas Joiner.

The night will conclude with a picturesque 1-mile candlelight walk through Downtown Green Bay.
